5% Advanced Acne Med

DESCRIPTION:

Face Reality’s 5% Acne Med is a targeted benzoyl peroxide treatment designed to penetrate deep into pores, eliminating acne-causing bacteria and preventing future breakouts. With a lightweight, quick-absorbing formula, this treatment is ideal for normal to oily skin types and is especially effective for inflamed acne. Unlike traditional benzoyl peroxide products, it’s formulated with a water-based gel texture that won’t clog pores or leave heavy residue—making it a powerful yet gentle choice for clear, balanced skin.

This product is suitable for normal and oily skin types. Can be used to increase from 2.5% Advanced Acne Med. For darker complexions, opt for 2.5% acne med. 

*If you are new to Acne Med, please follow the timed schedule instructions to reduce sensitivity to Benzoyl Peroxide: 

Days 1-3: Apply a dime to nickel sized amount of Acne Med for 15 minutes only. Cleanse, tone and moisturize. 

Days 4-5:  Apply a dime to nickel sized amount of Apply Acne Med for 30 minutes only. Cleanse, tone and moisturize. 

Days 8-10:  Apply a dime to nickel sized amount of Apply Acne Med for 60 minutes only. Cleanse, tone and moisturize. 

Days 11-13:  Apply a dime to nickel sized amount of Apply Acne Med for 2 hours only. Cleanse, tone and moisturize. 

Day 14 & Beyond: If the skin is not overly dehydrated and/or irritated, cleanse, tone and apply Acne Med then leave on overnight. Do not add moisturizer when leaving overnight!

HOW TO APPLY 

INSTRUCTIONS:

• For the first 2 weeks, follow the timed schedule. 
• Cleanse, apply dime to nickel sized amount of acne med, remove and follow with toner and moisturizer.

After day 14: 

1. Cleanse the skin, tone, apply Hydrabalance (optional), finish with Acne Med overnight only.
2. Do not follow with moisturizer. 
3. Always apply SPF the next morning. 
   

Notes: 

• Start slow—this product is potent.
• Avoid using with other strong actives (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs) unless advised.
• If dryness or irritation occurs, reduce frequency and consult your Acne Specialist.
• Be cautious of bleached fabrics—benzoyl peroxide can stain towels and pillowcases.
